The Canon Driver Information Assist Service will not be available if the user picks the option NO.

A New Wireless Network Setup For My Canon Printer

WPS Method:

You must first meet all of the prerequisites for using the WPS method before attempting to set up the wireless connection.

The hardware WPS push button for the access point must be available. Check the device's user guide for further information.

If the WPS push button is not available, follow the steps in the Windows Connection Method Section.

Make sure your Wi-Fi network is protected by WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) or WPA2. This protocol is supported by the majority of WPS access points.

Make sure your printer is turned on.

Push and hold the Wi-Fi button on the printer until the orange alert light starts blinking, then release the button.

Make sure your Wi-Fi button is blinking blue, then click on the access point and press the WPS button within two minutes.

Please see the access manual point for further information on how to hit the WPS button.

The blue Wi-Fi light on the printer will continue to flicker until it is linked to the access point. A green power lamp will begin blinking during the setup procedure. After it connects to the wireless network, the blue and green light will stop blinking.

You can ensure that your printer is correctly connected to the wireless network by printing the following page:

      Switch on your printer.

Put the papers on the input tray.

Push and hold the Cancel option until the orange alarm light blinks 15 times, then release it. The network's information page will begin printing.

When discussing the printout, make sure the "connection" is "active" and the SSID (Service Set Identifier) is the right name of the wireless network.

You can either use the CD that came with your printer to download the software and driver, or go to the Canon official website to do so.

Windows Connection Method:

Use the CD that came with the printer to begin the setup. If the CD does not function, go to My Computer, select the CD-ROM, and then double-click the MSETUP4.EXE file.

If the CD does not function with your printer, you can download the software and manuals.

In the first stage, a dialogue box will appear on your screen; select next.

Select Wireless LAN Connection, then the next choice to connect to the network.

For a wireless LAN connection, select Access Point Connection and then Next.

After checking that the printer is turned on and the green colour power lamp is flashing, select the Next option.

To connect to the printer, the software will hunt for a network connection.

If you're setting up your printer for the first time, make sure you choose "Setting printer not found" and then "next."

The setup instructions will begin to be installed. Select "next" from the drop-down menu.

Select "Cableless setup" from the drop-down menu.

When the orange alert lamp blinks twice, push and release the Wi-Fi button on the printer, and then select the "next" option from the dialogue box that appears on your computer screen.

Select the "next" option after making sure the blue Wi-Fi lamp is blinking quickly and the green light is on.

On your computer screen, you will see a message. Select "next" after you've connected to the access point.

In the next dialogue box, select your region and click the "next" option.

Then, on your screen, a new dialogue box will appear; select your language and click "next."

From the dialogue window, select the software you want to install, then click "next." Don't worry if you want to install another programme; you may uninstall this one first and then download another.

To accept all of the terms and conditions, select "Yes."

In the following selection, choose "next."

The installation of the software will begin.

If you're having trouble finding your printer, try using the "redetect" option.

Once the cableless setup is complete, the name of the network and the type of printer will appear on the computer screen.

Now select the "execute" option and follow the on-screen instructions.

From the drop-down menu, choose "next."

If you want to register the printer, select "next." You can also register your printer using the quick menu. Therefore, select "cancel."

If you want to use the Extended Survey Program, select the "agree" option.

If you want to test your printer, start by printing a test sheet.
